Take
Me America
by Nabel and ChristiansonDirected by John Vreeke Take Me America is a new musical about asylum seekers and the INS agents who decide their future. It is a tight, piercing, wonderfully evocative honest, striking and at times comical new pop rock musical written by Bill Nabel and composed by Bob Christianson. The Chorus Line convention adds to the intrigue and promise of this new work. John directed a week long workshop for the piece with a full company for the annual Village Theater Festival of New Musicals in August. The response to the work, a concert performance, was astonishing and very promising. |
